Aren’t Auntie Ng Yen Yen proud? To have Malaysia’s name on the jersey of English Second Leaguers, Cardiff City? Cardiff was bought by Berjaya Group’s chairman, Tan Sri Vincent Tan. Instead of having the usual sponsor’s name on the shirt, the football club decided to show Malaysia’s name on the shirt to mark their affinity with Malaysia. The cost of having it done probably free as it is covered by the club owners. The club’s latest home and away kits (blue and yellow respectively) will carry the all-new advertising slogan. The owners hoped that a new jersey would “freshen up” the players and lift team spirit. But it would be better off if they have a flag on it too.. hehe..
